Project Description: Main contractor for the delivery of the new combined junior and infants’ school incorporating an early year’s facility at Narberth New CP School. The site was an undeveloped ‘green field’ site outside Narberth Town on the main A478. A total 2100m2 internal floor area the construction comprised concrete raft foundation over made up ground, steel frame with blockwork cavity wall and steel windposts with plastered block internally and rendered externally, aluminium windows and doors, velux and ventral rooflights, timber trussed pitch roof with slate, felt and batten covering and mechanical and electrical services. Ancillary work included external services, drainage, roads, car parking and landscaping works.



Site Managers Comments: Narberth New CP School was our third school accommodation project for clients Pembrokeshire County Council, following phase 1 extension and library at Ysgol y Preseli completed in 2005, value £1.4 million and phase 2 school extension completed in 2006, value £1.5 million.
