Llangatwg is a co-educational 11-16 Comprehensive School. It serves one of the most extensive catchment areas in the Neath / Port Talbot County Borough as it includes the whole of the Neath and Dulais valleys and the villages of Cilfrew and Cadoxton. The school currently has 962 pupils and a teaching staff of 59. Pupils go forward to 16 education, normally at the nearby Neath Port Talbot Tertiary College. There are nine partner primary schools.
